Nothing feels better than knowing your body is healthy, fit and ready to take whatever you through at it during your life.

But, at some points, to keep it healthy and functioning at top performance, you need to go a little ahead and clean it of all the garbage it has accumulated (and no, just a shower won’t do it).

Yesterday I read a very nice post on The Daily Fitness that mentions just this: how to engage on a systematic detoxification of your body.

Clements explains and goes into detail about what is a detoxification plan and how to do it, besides the benefits that it can bring you.

I mention this because I’ve personally "tasted" how good it feels after getting rid of all the toxins and poisons your body accumulates, through a detoxification plan.

The first time I’ve tried one, it was planned for a month period, and it was with the help of a nutritionist. We discussed everything beforehand, including changes that I might feel in my body like feeling tired and out of focus on the first days. A menu plan was created based on my regular physical and mental activities, and I plunged into it.

All I can say is that it feels great afterwards and it’s now a recurring process for me.
