Digital-Folders Network

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

As you may read in my About page, the main objective of this blog is to spread the word about interesting things I see around the web and that I might think (or hope) are not only interesting for me but might also be to any readers I might gather.

On the search for a good place to host my new online home, I though about the free services around but, from previous experience, they lack many of the features that a good platform like Wordpress does.

The problem was partially solved by using Wordpress.com, the free side of Wordpress that gives you also free hosting. Nonetheless, after a few posts, I felt that in the long run I needed something that could give me some more control.

On a search around the web, I stumbled upon the Digital-Folders Network. It’s a fairly new blogging network that provides hosting and domains to bloggers that wish to become part of a blog network and these guys even helped me in the migration process from the previous host.

I got a new look (ok, it’s still a free theme but completely customized to what I wanted) and after a few emails back and forward it became very clear to me that I’m secure on my new blog and have a team of people backing me up on any problems and providing me with tips to achieve a bit more success with the blog.

One big advantage that I’ve seen compared to other maybe more established blogging networks is that I’m free to monetize the blog in any way I want (sidebar advertisement, ads in posts, etc.) and they even help me with that (wondering if this is such a a good business model for them, but ok).

If you’re looking for a place to host your blog, it might be good to take a look. The page where I applied has all the info I needed. You might check also the page where some common questions are answered.

So, I have to send a big Thank you to them and I hope my stay is good to both of us.
