Need help typing?

By Paul F. • Jan 13th, 2008 • Category: Web applications

Everyone of us who spends hours in front of a computer eventually gets used to the keyboard layout and the typing speed and accuracy increases.

Nonetheless, mastering typing and being able to do so without having to look at the keys every few seconds makes not only blogging but any other typing activity much faster and enjoyable. Not to mention that your mind also works faster as it is not occupied with the typing process.

There are many sites around the web that will let you train your typing abilities and even provide tutorials on how to type correctly. And investing some time now on this skill will let you "gain" it back by many fold later.

I’ve stumbled upon such a site recently and it’s one that I highly recommend. It won’t provide tutorials but has innumerous exercises for you to practice and even tracks your speed and accuracy.

Unlike many others, the sentences it proposes as exercises don’t make much sense so you’re not tempted to read ahead and just look down to type.
